We’re excited to announce that Independence Northwest has begun shipping out emergency preparedness bags to all of our customers. We’re partnering with the awesome folks at Redfora to make sure our customers have foundational supplies and resources in the event of an emergency.
Personal Agents have reached out to customers to offer one of two options: a 7-day Complete Earthquake Bag or a Ready to Go Mini-Kit. Additionally, customers will receive a crush light, two Lifestraw personal water filters, and a solar-powered charger with flashlight. Kits are color-coded and easy to use.
Our aim is to have all bags shipped to customers in the first quarter of 2024. New customers who enroll with us after 2024 will be offered bags upon enrollment.

Where does the funding for the bags come from?
These emergency supplies are being funded by the State of Oregon Department of Human Services and the federal government by way of ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) funding.
